If the Mac is the place where charts are read most nights, the installed platform earns its space. Window layouts, saved templates and indicator settings persist across restarts, and the application is still there after a system update rather than depending on a tab that was left open.
If the Mac is a work machine, or one that travels between offices and homes, the browser route avoids leaving anything behind. Nothing is written to disk, the session finishes when the tab closes, and the account is reachable again from the next device that signs in.
The two are not mutually exclusive, and many people use both: the installed platform on the machine at home, the browser wherever they happen to be. With the country at UTC+8 and the New York open falling in the evening, whichever screen is free at that hour tends to win.
